Master of Science
The Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree is awarded to candidates who successfully complete the prescribed academic and research requirements of the approved programme.
MPhil
The Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) degree is awarded to candidates who have demonstrated advanced study and research competence beyond the Master’s level, serving as a qualifying stage toward the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree.
PhD
The Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree is awarded to candidates who demonstrate advanced research competence and make original contributions to knowledge in their field of study.

It is a World Bank-supported project based at Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, Nigeria, with the objective of improving the quality and impact of postgraduate engineering education in the West African sub-region.
